Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery
Apparently, their flagship isn't in Breckenridge.

On today’s episode of “Unplanned Visits Are Often The Best Visits”: Everyone was hungry, but with only an hour-ish between the time we wrapped up at the Littleton Museum and the time we were supposed to enter Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms, we found the closest place that had a menu everyone could agree on. And it was a success!

As we pull up, I’m shocked at how massive the campus is. There are several large buildings, an outdoor viewing area, and even a bike shop. The Farm House is located across from the tasting room.

The haphazardly strung Christmas lights add rustic charm to the already homey Farm House, and for a second or two it feels more like you’re at a party of sorts at your friend’s ranch home than at a brewery – but the multitude of taps brings you back to reality.

We were seated right away and were able to order almost immediately, having already taken a look at the menu on the drive here (but what else is new?). Around the table we got the blackened salmon, which was served on top of ratatouille and cheddar polenta; a Sirloin/Wagyu blend burger with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles served on a toasted bun;

And for me, the fish and chips which consisted of Pacific Cod, a batter prepared with Avalanche Ale, slaw, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge. The batter was insanely light and crispy, while the cod was moist and flaky. Both parts existing in harmony without interfering with the other’s texture. Both the slaw and the tartar sauce had a hint of sweetness, and the fries were fluffy on the inside but sturdy enough to be dunked into all the sauces we had on the table.

I couldn’t resist getting dessert as well and got the peach cobbler, which is infused with the brewery’s Palisade Peach Wheat, and topped with Chai whipped cream and a brown butter crumble. The crumble was a little too soggy for my liking, but overall, it was a solid dessert.

Also on the table was the Breckie, a chocolate chip brownie served in a skillet and topped with vanilla ice cream. As good as a brownie a la mode can get.

On our way out, we grabbed some Vanilla Porters and a couple of Holidales, a Christmas ale aged in whiskey barrels and an abv of 10.7%.

I’ll definitely be coming back to check out the rest of the campus soon (looking at you, tasting room).

The Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery is located at 2990 Brewery Lane, Littleton, Colorado, USA.

Based mainly in Colorado. Loves cheese, rain, and starry nights. Can usually be spotted in the wild wearing a Spirit Jersey and balancing two cameras. Often laughs and cries at the same time. Barely survived her Master's program, but seriously considering a Doctorate.
